Teresa Artis Neal

Teresa Artis Neal is an attorney at Trans World Radio (TWR), a global Christian content distributor that uses its infrastructure of radio, satellite, internet and mobile media to distribute inspirational, disaster-relief and health-related content outside the U.S. to 190 nations in 300+ languages. Teresa is also an adjunct law professor at UNC and Campbell Law Schools. Previously, Teresa was vice president of business affairs at a Turner Broadcasting subsidiary in Atlanta and general counsel of Capitol Broadcasting Company in Raleigh. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in economics and public policy from UNC-Chapel Hill and her MBA and J.D. degrees from Harvard University.

At Carolina, Teresa was a Pogue Scholar, resident advisor, Carolina Union Activities Board member, N.C. Fellow, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and recipient of the Chancellor’s Jane Craige Gray Award for Most Outstanding Junior Female. As a UNC alumna, she has served on the Board of Trustees, Board of Visitors, the General Alumni Association Board and has chaired the Alumni Committee for Racial and Ethnic Diversity. While serving on the UNC Rex Healthcare board for twelve years, Teresa chaired the Quality, Patient Safety and HR Committee and served on the Audit Committee. In 2016, the UNC Board of Trustees (BOT) awarded Teresa a William Richardson Davie Award for her university and community service. She is a current board member of the UNC Foundation, WUNC-FM and the PBS NC Foundation.

She and her husband Nate live in Cary.
