Dan Copeland received his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill and has lived in Chapel Hill since graduation.  Dan has spent most of his time in the pharmaceutical development space and is currently working at a local Chapel Hill company, Renovion, to help develop a drug for chronic inflammatory lung diseases.  When he is not thinking about respiratory diseases, he loves to be fishing or hunting with family and friends.

In 2015, Dan founded a mentoring group called The Twelve alongside Benton Moss (UNC 2015) as a way to build community among students and local business men.  That group is now a part of the Study Center mentoring programs.  Both Dan and his wife Leigh are involved in the lives of college kids at UNC through mentoring, campus ministries and other initiatives.

They have three kids – Benton, Riley and Chase – that love UNC and attend other schools in the Southeast.
