Christianity appeals to history. Something happened, in the events concerning Jesus, as a result of which - so Christians claim - the world is a different place. But how does 'history' actually work? What can it do to help the tasks of theology and apologetics, and above all the work of the gospel?
We are pleased to join the Consortium of Christian Study Centers in hosting this event, featuring New Testament scholar N.T. Wright. on the topic of his Gifford Lectures "History and Eschatology". Wright is perhaps best known in scholarly circles for his multi-volume work Christian Origins and the Question of God, which includes The Resurrection of the Son of God and Paul and the Faithfulness of God. On the popular side, his commentaries in The New Testament for Everyone series stand out for their clarity and readability.
