Based on the highly acclaimed live theater performance and starring actor Max McLean, The Most Reluctant Convert was filmed in Oxford as well as 20 additional locations. It employs 190 actors and 270 costumes and is beautifully shot. The film portrays C.S. Lewis as a boy, a young man, and an older man looking back on his life. Actors also play Tolkien, Barfield, Kirk, young Warnie, Mum, and Dad among others.
In addition to Max, it stars Nicholas Ralph, a rising British actor who is currently starring in Masterpiece Theatre's "All Creatures Great and Small".
