Theological Training and Community Building for local Faculty.

The North Carolina Study Center is excited to host a three-day theological intensive being organized by the Center for Christianity and Scholarship.

On August 2-4, two renowned professors from Regent College, Ross Hastings and Jens Zimmermann, will be leading a seminar on Christian theology for Duke and UNC faculty. Participants will complete a set of shared readings prior to the event, which will last from 9 am to 6:30 pm each day.

Day one will focus on core Christian doctrines, deepening participants’ understanding of familiar church teachings. Day two will consider the integration of theology with other academic disciplines. On day three, the focus will shift to teaching undergraduate courses in a manner that is informed by one’s Christian faith. In addition to lectures and group discussion, this multi-day event will include time for informal conversation and relationship-building over shared lunches and dinners.
