Ken Myers Lecture: Christ, the University, and the Common Good

  • Graham Memorial 250 East Franklin Street Chapel Hill, NC, 27514 United States (map)

Join us for an evening with Christian thought-leader Ken Myers! Ken will be speaking on how Christians can serve Christ and also pursue the common good as part of today's university.

Ken did his first radio interview when he was 19 working in college radio, where his first guest was Johnny Cash. Since that illustrious beginning, he has attended Westminster Seminary, served as the arts and humanities editor for the then-new NPR program Morning Edition, and founded the prolific bimonthly "audio magazine" Mars Hill Journal.

Since 1993, Mars Hill has been encouraging conversations about faith, faithfulness, and culture. They explore the various factors that have given modern Western culture its distinctive character. They also try to describe what cultural life — its practices, beliefs, and artifacts — might look like if it was the product of thoughtful Christian imaginations.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held in the Graham Memorial building located on UNC's Upper Quad. Parking is available in the Morehead Planetarium Lot.
